Ton
Sai beach is
situated on the Phra-Nang peninsula of Ao Nang
in the Krabi Province of Southern Thailand. The
area is a place of outstanding natural beauty
with stunning karst cliffs forming the backdrop
to Ton Sai.
These cliffs also mean that
Ton Sai and indeed the other areas of the
peninsula are completely separated from the
mainland in terms of access as well as power and
water supplies. All resorts generate their own
power and pump water from deep wells which are
naturally filtered by the limestone rocks.
Ton Sai
started becoming popular with tourist some 10-15
years ago when rock climbers started visiting
this area to climb the stunning rock faces. A
true natural gym monkeys playground! Ton Sai and
Railay are ranked as one of the best places in
the world to rock climb and many visitors come
back year on year just to climb the many routes
here. There are also schools here that cater for
the novice to expert and can rent out equipment.
We recommend Basecamp Tonsai for all your
climbing requirements.
The Ton Sai
community is extremely welcoming and although
this is a predominantly tourist area, it still
enjoys an unspoilt charm that is typically
Thailand. This is an increasingly rare
combination in Krabi.

Activities
As well as climbing there
are many other activities to enjoy such as
kayaking, snorkelling, island hopping with the
many trips around the area. This is of course in
addition to just relaxing! Railay beaches and
Phra Nang Beach are easily accessible from Ton
Sai.
Walk On The
Wild Side Ton
Sai and Country Side Resort are home to a very
wide range of flora and fauna. These include
rare plants and flowers as well as monkeys,
butterflies, reptiles and other rare and
interesting creatures.
